 Home This gas-mechanical car operated briefly between Vancouver and New Westminister then later between Slocan City and Castlegar. AT 47 feet long, it weighed just 13 tons and was powered by a 75 horsepower 4 cylinder gasoline engine. It contained 34 seats plus 10 more in the smoking section. It was re-engined at Angus Shops with a 77 horsepower Hinkley gas engine. On 1 Oct 1925 it commenced two round trips daily except Sunday between St.Thomas and Woodstock, Ontario, until reduced to one round trip before scrapping in 1939 - CPR Archives.
