Osprey Lake lies at a track summit of 3,600 feet. From there eastward it's downgrade all the way through Thirsk, Kirton, and Faulder into Summerland. In this photo the train is westbound as it pulls into the West Summerland station, long since demolished. The present day Kettle Valley Steam Railway still runs past here and probably wishes the station was still standing.
