New Roomette Sleeping Cars

 Day use

Above and below are shown cross section views of the smart new Roomette. This type of sleeping car accommodation is now available on transcontinental trains 3 and 4 between Toronto, Winnipeg, and Vancouver. By day the traveller has a spacious, comfortable Chesterfield-type seat beside a wide picture window and by night, a soft luxurious bed built for refreshing rest. Temperature and air-conditioning controls are individual in each Roomette and can be adjusted to suit the comfort and convenience of the occupant. An added attraction is that the Roomette is no more expensive than a single occupancy standard section. The roomette provides ideal accommodation for the traveller who desires complete privacy in the smallest feasible space. The Roomette is self sufficient with respect to toilet facilities and despite its compact layout there is ample baggage space.
