RIDERS OF NARCOA - The North American Rail Car Operators of America ( NARCOA ) recently operated an excursion on our Boundary Rossland and Nelson subdivisions in British Columbia. All together, 18 track motorcars of all types were used:  Fairmonts, Woodings, Kalamazoos, and others. Each of the members - from BC, Alberta, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and New Mexico - paid $150 US for the opportunity to travel on the old Kootenay Valley Railway, an internal shortline of CPR.

CPR UNIT STARS AT RAILFAN WEEKEND IN DULUTH - CPR was well represented at the Lake Superior Railroad Museum's annual Railfan Weekend, on 5-7 Sep 2003, in Duluth, Minnesota. Thanks to the efforts of several individuals, among them St. Paul road foreman of engines Tom Onan, CPR displayed a brand new AC4400CW, number 9723, during the event. The ultra modern locomotive stood in sharp contrast to the museums's diesels, the youngest of which is now 47 years old. Soo Line FP7 2500 ( built in 1949 ), CPR AC4400CW 9723 ( built in 2002 ), and Duluth & Northern Minnesota steam locomotive No. 14 ( built in 1913 ). There is also a white and red Soo Line GP30 hiding in the background ( built in 1963 ) - Jeff Terry.

CALGARY PHOTOGRAPHER HARRY POLLARD was once the most travelled cameraman in the world. As press photographer for CPR and CPR-owned Associated Screen News, he toured the globe on more than a dozen around-the-world cruises with Canadian Pacific Steamships.
