Photo - CP2816/MILW261 Double-Header


 
A mainline steam excursion featuring CPR Hudson No. 2816 and Milwaukee Road 4-8-4 No. 261 was operated during the NRHS Convention between Minneapolis and La Crescent, MN on 3 Jul 2004. Dubbed "The Mississippi River Hiawatha", the double-headed steam special made a fast run down and back, and is seen here on the west bound leg of the trip blasting through Dakota, Minnesota - Alex Mayes.
