RailPower Brings Former CPR COO Dodge On Board

Today, RailPower Technologies Corp. announced former Canadian Pacific Railway Chief Operating Officer Ed Dodge has been appointed to its board to succeed Dennis Waller, who recently resigned for personal reasons. Waller previously served Canadian National Railway Co. as vice president of engineering and mechanical.

In March, Dodge retired from CPR, where he served for 35 years in various management and senior management positions in operations, marketing and sales.

"Ed Dodge is widely regarded for the outstanding contribution he made to CPR's increase in productivity and safety," said RailPower Chairman Norm Gish in a prepared statement. "His operational experience and knowledge will greatly assist RailPower as we introduce our technologies and products to the railway industry."

RailPower produces Green Goat and Green Kid hybrid yard locomotives designed to cut fuel consumption between 40 percent and 60 percent, and reduce emissions between 80 percent and 90 percent compared with conventional switchers.
