Petition Backer Opposes "Berlin Wall"

I signed the petition opposing nighttime closure of the Mackenzie Avenue crossing, although I feel it was too lenient.

The do-nothing proposal is still the best and least expensive. Money could then be put into needed infrastructure improvements on the hill instead of antagonizing those taxpayers and voters.

I didn't know that Revelstoke had people who lived on the "wrong side of the tracks" or that we needed to build a Berlin Wall to keep them separate.

Perhaps the paper could print the original petition and (the names of its) signers so the rest of us can decide if we wish to do business with them.

A referendum, including the do-nothing proposal should be held at the next election. Until then no further work should take place at the crossing.
