Train Cries Fowl Over Game
CP Rail complained to Chase RCMP of yet another incident of kids
playing chicken with the trains shortly after noon on 17 Jul 2005.
Five youth had been sitting on the tracks near the park in Chase and the train was forced into an
emergency stop and the youth fled.
Patrols of the area did not locate the subjects.
Again, police warn that being on a train track is trespassing and people found there will face
prosecution.
"Prosecution is, however, small potatoes compared to being struck by a train given that grievous bodily
harm is an inevitability and death is highly probable," emphasizes RCMP Sgt. Fred Bott.
