Shopping Centre Plans Approved
Brooks Alberta - "Council on Monday approved in
principle plans for a shopping centre project by Marathon Realty, a subsidiary of Canadian Pacific Railway, on the present site of the
CPR station and grounds. The project will be similar to developments by Marathon in other Alberta centres and involves a supermarket
and a department store with some eight smaller stores between, plus adjacent parking facilities on the sides and centre.
"Date of completion was not announced but is expected to be next year.
