Freight Train Goes Off the Track in Essa

Crews look over three railcars that jumped the track on the
30th Sideroad of Essa Township Wednesday morning. The road was closed most of the day. The cars carried no hazardous material and no
one was injured.

Essa Township Ontario - Nottawasaga OPP closed a portion
of the 30th Sideroad in Essa Township this morning after three railcars of a CPR freight train derailed.
Members of the CP Railway Police and Essa firefighters have been on the scene after the cars went off the tracks shortly before 8 a.m.
on the 30th Sideroad between Simcoe County Road 56 and the 6th Line.
There is no concern regarding hazardous material and there were no injuries.
