Membership at CP Ratifies Contract
Teamsters Canada Rail Conference, representing all running trades
employees at CP Rail, announced today that their members have ratified a new five year contract by a margin of 59%. The current
Collective Agreement expired 31 Dec 2006 and applies to approximately 4,500 Locomotive Engineers, Conductors, Trainmen,
and Yardmen employed in road and yard service at Canadian Pacific Railway.
The new Agreement is retroactive to 1 Jan 2007, including wages and benefits and extends to 31 Dec 2011.
Improvements in quality of life issues and pensions are the cornerstone of the Agreement.
