Ride a Ghost Train to the Border

Kelowna British Columbia - The Okanagan Heritage Museum will be presenting an evening with Joe Smuin, a retired railroader and Kettle Valley Railway historian.

His lecture is entitled "Ghost Train to the Border".

Smuin, who comes from a long line of KVR railroaders, possesses a large collection of historic Kettle Valley Railway photographs, many of which he uses throughout his presentation to illustrate the railway, then and now.

"You'll see an incredible amount of change in the 25 to 75-year time span which the photos represent," comments Smuin.

Smuin is the author of Mileboards:  A Historical Field Guide to the Kettle Valley Railway.

The lecture with Smuin is part of the Summer Lecture Series which runs all summer long at the Okanagan Heritage Museum.

It takes place Tuesday at 7 p.m. Admission by donation.
