Train Accident Victim Dies

Abbotsford British Columbia - The man who was run over by a train in Abbotsford on 25 Jul 2010 died in hospital Sunday night.
 
The name of the 40-year-old has not yet been released. The accident occurred in the vicinity of Essendene and Gladys avenues in the old downtown core.
 
Const. Ian MacDonald said the man had either fallen asleep on the tracks or was unconscious when he was run over by three railway cars. "There are no indications that foul play was involved", he said.
 
The man was airlifted to hospital with head and internal injuries, a pelvic fracture, and a broken arm.
