The Spirit of Sir John A. Locomotive

Kingston Ontario - Local 221 of the Pipefitters Union in Kingston has agreed to act as managing contractors for the restoration of the Spirit of Sir John A. locomotive.
 
The future of the $642,500 project became uncertain when a similar arrangement with the Southern Ontario Locomotive Restoration Society fell through.
 
Council approved the new arrangement last night.
