Kamloops Man Dies in Railway Accident

Kamloops British Columbia - Kamloops RCMP have released the name of the man struck and killed by a train early Saturday morning.
 
Corporal Craig Learning says Christopher Mitchell of Kamloops was asleep on the track when a southbound train run by the Canadian Pacific Railway hit him.
 
Emergency responders tried to save the 24-year-old but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
It happened around 4:00 a.m. Saturday morning at the Indian Point crossing, where it intersects with Sarcee Road.
