Viterra to Collaborate with CP, CN Railways to Improve Supply Chain

Calgary Alberta - Viterra Inc. has signed new service agreements with Canada's two largest railways that the western grain handler and agribusiness says will improve the efficiency of its supply chain.
 
In separate announcements Monday, Viterra said it will share information with Montreal-based Canadian National Railway and Calgary-based Canadian Pacific Railway Ltd.
 
Viterra said it will share performance benchmarks and evaluate opportunities with CP under their agreement. With CN, it will co-operate on planning and forecasting and review key performance indicators.
 
The company, formed by the merger of Saskatchewan Wheat Pool and Agricore United, has operations in Canada, the United States, Australia, and New Zealand.
