CP Exceeds Revenue Cap

Ottawa Ontario - The Canadian Transportation Agency says Canadian Pacific Railway exceeded its rail revenue cap for the 2010-11 crop year by $1.25 million.
 
As a result, CP will have to pay the overage, plus a five percent penalty, to the Western Grains Research Foundation.
 
The company has 30 days to pay the penalty.
 
Grain handling revenues at CN, meanwhile, came in almost a million dollars under the cap.
