Man Wearing Earphones Dies When Hit by Train in Banff

Banff Alberta - A visitor from Chile was killed by a train Tuesday afternoon while walking along the railway tracks in Banff.
 
It's believed the 27-year-old man was wearing earphones and a tuque and did not hear the train as it approached, police said.
 
The incident happened about 800 metres east of the Banff railway station at 4:30 p.m.
 
Banff RCMP and Canadian Pacific Railway are continuing to investigate and further details will be released as they become available.
