Elderly Man Seriously Hurt

Edmonton Alberta - An elderly man is in serious condition after the vehicle he was travelling in was struck by a train.
 
The collision occurred early Tuesday afternoon at 91 Street and Argyll Road. Two people were in the car, a Volkswagen Jetta, when it was was struck by a train on the passenger side, pushing it more than a block down the tracks.
 
The driver of the car suffered minor injuries, but fire crews at the scene said the passenger was taken to hospital in serious condition.
