High Water Prevention

Minot North Dakota USA - Canadian Pacific Railway track crews lay riprap, shown in this photo taken Tuesday along Second Avenue, just west of the Minot Public Library and Sixth Street Underpass.
 
Ed Greenberg, with CP media relations in Minneapolis, said CP track crews are doing this preventative work at locations identified as having the potential for high water.
 
This area was flooded last summer by the Souris River.
