Harrison Raring to Go at CP Rail

Calgary Alberta - The new CEO of Canadian Pacific Railway is anxious to start his new job.
 
Hunter Harrison, who's American, told Business News Network he expects to begin once his Canadian work permit is sorted out, likely this week.
 
He says he expects to have a comprehensive plan in place to improve the railway's profitability by October.
 
Harrison retired from CNR, CP's biggest rival, in 2009.
 
Harrison takes the helm after a bruising months-long proxy fight at CP resulted in its CEO, chair-man, and several board members stepping down.
