Estevan Saskatchewan - Emergency services were on scene at a crash site after a semi collided with a train.

At approximately 3:20 p.m., RCMP in Estevan along with Estevan emergency services responded to the site approximately a kilometer south east of the city limits.

The 33-year-old truck driver suffered minor injuries and was later released by medical personnel at the scene.

Police say the semi-truck was traveling south on a gravel road and had stopped with its front end on the tracks shortly before the approaching train collided with it. The semi-truck was subsequently knocked by the train into the west ditch of the intersection.

The semi-truck was hauling a flat deck trailer which did not have a load. No one was injured on the train and no derailment resulted.
