Pickup Crashes With CP Plow

Kemptville Ontario - The driver of a pick-up truck that collided with a CP snowplow at a rail crossing in the Municipality of North Grenville this morning was transported to Kemptville Hospital in stable condition.

North Grenville fire chief Paul Hutt said the unidentified man had to be extricated by firefighters and paramedics from his vehicle after the 07:30 accident at the Dennison Road intersection with the Canadian Pacific rail line.

Hutt said the vehicle collided with the CP plow on the track as it was clearing snow between County Road 18 and Bedell Road.

He said the collision is under investigation by CP Police and the Ontario Provincial Police.

The OPP could not be immediately reached for comment Thursday morning.
