RCMP Investigating Crash Between Semi and Train Outside Lethbridge
Lethbridge Alberta - RCMP are investigating a crash Wednesday morning between a Canadian Pacific freight train and a semi truck with tandem
trailers southeast of Lethbridge.
The collision took place just before 08:00 at the railway crossing on Highway 4 at Range Road 211.
According to the rail company, the driver of the semi was taken to hospital but no crew members were injured.
No train cars were damaged.
Highway 4 was closed for several hours and traffic was rerouted, but later reopened in the afternoon.
The cause remains under investigation.
