Train Derailment in East Vancouver


Vancouver British Columbia - Crews are in East Vancouver where a Canadian Pacific (CP) train has derailed.
 
Jeremy Berry, a spokesman for CP says the derailment happened at 04:30, Wednesday.
 
He says three loaded grain cars derailed west of the Commissioner Street overpass near the eastern entrance to the Vancouver part of the port.
 
He says there are no injuries and no dangerous goods involved.
 
"CP immediately implemented its emergency response protocols and mobilized teams to the site," Berry said, in an email.
 
"We take this incident extremely seriously and will be focused on safety as we continue to deal with this incident."
 
He says an investigation is underway.
