They Came from Pig's Eye

Calgary Alberta - Canadian Pacific's new SD70ACU numbers 7010 and 7015, the first two of ten units delivered in the heritage paint scheme, arrived in Calgary from Pig's Eye Yard in St. Paul, Minnesota, on Train 197-18, their first revenue run into Canada.

They are seen here approaching the Shepard Intermodal Terminal in SE Calgary where they will set off the front end intermodal units.

They had arrived at Moose Jaw yesterday afternoon so I had calculated that they would arrive in Calgary in the dead of night but thanks to an always reliable source who sent me a message at 08:14 this morning with an arrival time, I was able to catch them in broad daylight.

Compliments must go to CP and their President for this heritage moment, great job!

Cor van Steenis.
