Kettle Valley Steam Railway Prepares to Hit the Rails Again

Summerland British Columbia - The Kettle Valley Steam Railway is preparing for an abbreviated season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 10 kilometre long scenic tourist railway is scheduled to resume operations on 18 Jul 2020 railway spokesperson Maryana Holzer said 10 Jul 2020.

Holzer says initial plans call for one train daily on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, leaving the station at 10:30.

The schedule will be in effect for the last two weeks of July as a trial period.

Holzer says a schedule for August and September would be determined during the trial period.

Guests need to call ahead for reservations, as some trains are already full and there is limited seating due to COVID-19 social distancing requirements, Holzer says.
