White Pass & Yukon Route
Data Wrangler William Slim   Updated 2021
The White Pass & Yukon Route narrow gauge rail line runs north from Skagway, Alaska, United States of America, across the international boundary into the province of British Columbia, Canada, then onto Carcross, Yukon Territory, winding upgrade through the rugged White Pass. In 1896 White Pass was one of the routes for Klondike Gold Rush Stampeders. Their arduous route was eased by completion of the railway in 1900 when it once reached as far north as Whitehorse, Yukon.
