V&T locomotive number 5 rests at the Carson City depot with a short train during the last year of the railroad's operation. The depot looks deserted and many of the train trips during this time would only have one or two passengers on board. Built by Alco in 1925, the sturdy 2-8-0 Consolidation served first on the Nevada Copper Belt Railroad before coming to the V&T in 1947 during the railroads declining years - 1950 Photographer?
