Following lunch at Furka the train travelled through the 1,874 metre ( 6,148 feet) long Summit Tunnel. Once more on a rack section, and now descending, the train has just departed Muttbach heading towards the Furkastrasse grade crossing. The concrete post on the right is a support for a wooden power pole that once supported catenary over the pass when it was electrified.
