The DFB station is viewed from a coach platform on the train while stopped here at Gletsch. Chalky blue glacial melt water from the Rhone Glacier flows under the pedestrian bridge connecting the station to the railway platform. The large building in the distance behind the station to the right is the Hotel Glacier du Rhone. In the far distance, directly above the river, lies a bare rock saddle which was once covered by the Rhone Glacier. The glacier has since shrunk so much it's no longer visible from this location.
