DFB 1, "Furkahorn", backs onto the turntable at Oberwald immediately after arrival there from Realp. The locomotive leads the train from Realp to the end of the DFB Oberwald platform, cuts off, and runs around its cars to reach the turntable. Once turned it backs to the water column on the platform to take water then rejoins its passenger cars for the return journey to Realp. The Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn (MGB) mainline short tunnel portal is visible behind the locomotive.
