One of the operators riding Bubble car number W55000 (A British Rail Class 122 Diesel Multiple Unit), is about to hand the staff, or was it a token, to the person on the ground as the DMU heads towards Buckfastleigh. W55000 was built by Gloucester Railway Carriage & Wagon Works in 1958. It was the first member of the class and operated on lightly used branch lines. Originally fitted with an AEC engine and equipment in later years this was replaced with a Leyland 6/80 150 HP engine. Here's a look at a Bubble car W55023 on the Swanage Railway.
