This view is from the footbridge just east of the Tanygrisiau station looking towards Blaenau Ffestiniog which lies around the corner at the rear of the train. The Earl of Marioneth heads this down train. The right-of-way cuts a sharp path through the rugged terrain at this point of the line. It hugs the cliff face located just past the end of the train on the way upgrade. The next photo, looking in the opposite direction, was taken from the roadway leading up the hill next to the fifth carriage towards a house perched on the rock outcropping.
