These double-headed northbound Garratts, numbers 87 and 143, are shown passing the north tip of Llyn Cwellyn (Lake Cwellyn) enroute to Caernarfon. This is a mixed train containing the consist that Linda previously hauled from Porthmadog to Hafod-y-Llyn then back to Pont Croesor where she added it to the end of this train. You can just make out the permanent way van and gondolas in the distance. Count the photographer's shadows.
