Ostrander Railway & Timber Co. number 7 as built painted olive green and aluminum, style 220, painting scheme A - 2004 Jon Davis.
This Mallet started life as a 2-6-6-2T articulated locomotive, numbered 7, built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works of Philadelphia in 1926 for the Ostrander Railway & Timber Company. It was then obtained by the United States Plywood Corporation where it was re-numbered 11 eventually ending up being owned by Washington State Parks in 1961. Some where along the way the tanks were removed and a tender added. Museum volunteers spent over 2,000 hours returning it to its 1956 appearance.
