Another view, higher still, shows Lauterbrunnen behind the cable support tower. The town of Wengen lies in the upper left corner of the photo. If you look carefully you can trace the new route of the Wengernalpbahn (WAB) from Lauterbrunnen across the Weise Lütschine River and up to Wengen. A portion of the abandoned route is barely visible too.
