K1 is the first Garratt type locomotive built by Beyer Peacocks in 1909 for the North-East Dundas Tramway of Tasmania. It was returned to service in October 2007. In these two photos it is seen on the tramway connecting the Welsh Highland Railway to the Ffestiniog at Porthmadog.
