Facing north at Pontsticill shows the station area. Taf Fechan Reservoir lies to the left, while in the distance, left of the crossing sign are some ex-standard gauge goods carriages serving as coffee shop and restrooms. The Steam Museum is located in a part of the old standard guage station waiting room immediately to the right behind the shrubs.
