Another Siemens ÖBB Class 1216 "Taurus" locomotive with a RailJet train crosses the Kalte Rinne Viaduct westbound. The mighty two-tiered viaduct across the Kalte Rinne is considered the Semmeringbahn's highest and most impressive. More than 1,500 people died over the six-year construction period. Completed in 1854, to this day it is one of the railway's most photographed structures. This photo was taken from the Ghega Museum outdoor cafe which overlooks the viaduct.
