Last Run a Family Affair

Conductor Joe Leddy's last run on train 21 to Toronto was a "family affair". In the driver's seat was one of his sons, engineer Carl Leddy. His other son Don, was the trainman on Joe's final run. Joe finished 49 years' service with CPR, which began in 1911 when he was hired as a trainman at West Toronto. In 1917, Joe was promoted to conductor. The past 10 years were spent on the Montreal run. On hand to congratulate Joe on his last run were (left to right):  Carl Leddy engineer, J. White master mechanic, J.W. Stewart superintendent Trenton division, Mr. Leddy, T.E. McCabe head clerk, Don Leddy trainman, and E.A. Fisher assistant superintendent.

Last Run at Brownville

Engineman C.R. Clark, of Brownville Junction, who recently retired, began his service with the Company as an engine cleaner in 1912. He enlisted for military service during World War I, was wounded overseas and returned to the Company after discharge in 1919. He is seen at extreme left as he completed his last tour of yard duty. With him are (left to right):  Engineman George McGuire, Engineman Guy T. Dow local chairman B.L.E., carman Charles Coburn, and George Bates district master mechanic. Mr. Clark has a son, Robert C., a Company trainman at Brownville Junction.

Send-Off for Conductor

Last run for Conductor H.T. Mossop after 49 years of service ended in Toronto when he brought the "Canadian" into Union Station. Some of the friends who gathered to congratulate him are seen above (left to right):  G.K. Strickland trainman, F.D. Travis assistant superintendent Toronto Terminals, W.K. Hill conductor and local chairman B. of R.T., W.J. Jordan assistant to general yardmaster Toronto, Victor Shaw fireman, conductor Mossop, H. Stitt engineer, F.J.
