18 March 2009 Elderly Man Struck, Killed by Train in Virden   Virden Manitoba - A 91-year-old man was killed when he manoeuvred his mobility scooter across rail tracks and was struck by a train in Virden this morning.   The accident occurred around 9 a.m. near King Street in the town west of Brandon.   The CP Rail cargo train was eastbound when the man was hit at the railway crossing. The intersection is controlled by flashing signal lights and a gate.   The investigation continues.
