Transportation Heritage Celebrated
Kenora Ontario - The Kenora Railroaders Retirees
Club hosted the First Annual Railroad Days at Norman Park over the weekend.
Canadian Pacific Railway Kenora manager Jim Parsons took the opportunity to formally donate an artifact from the Kenora's CP Rail
station to the Railroaders museum.
Parsons explained railroads run on time and the CPR clock was installed on the second floor of the station early in the last century
where it was a familiar sight to generations of railway employees and visitors who passed through the building over the decades.
"It's a remarkable piece of craftsmanship", Parsons said.
The clock is now on display at the station office on the museum's second floor.
