Man Killed by Train in Lake Errock
Harrison British Columbia - A 67-year-old man was
killed by a train Saturday morning while picking chestnuts in Lake Errock.
Mission RCMP and B.C. Ambulance paramedics were called to the scene on Harrison Bay Road around 11:30 a.m., 10 Oct 2009.
The male was standing near the train tracks, in between crossings, when an eastbound CP Rail freight train rounded a corner, and
struck the man, who, according to police, attempted to get out of the way but was unsuccessful.
The male died at the scene, and his name is not being released until next of kin has been notified.
