The former Canadian Pacific Station at Peterborough. The line does not, at present, have passenger service. It was once linked Toronto and Ottawa. There is talk of restoring service between Peterborough and Toronto. The line extends east only to Havelock where it services a mine north of the town - 4 Jul 2010 Robert Taylor.

Stolen Railway Parts Leads to Arrest

Peterborough Ontario - On 2 Nov 2011 around 10 p.m., officers went to the area of Chamberlain Street after receiving a call about a suspicious vehicle parking off the road by the CPR train tracks.
 
Police found two men loading metal railway parts onto a pick-up truck.
 
The parts consisted of a 162 metal mounting brackets, two pieces of metal rails, six metal rail joiners, and other assorted metal parts.
 
Derek Keith Reid, 32, of Park Street South, and Michael Ryan Burns, 31, of Lafayette Avenue have been arrested and charged with theft under $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
 
Both men were released from custody.
 
Mr. Reid will attend court on 1 Dec 2011 and Mr. Burns on 24 Nov 2011.
