Chemainus station of 1886 is similar to the Goldstream station but somewhat larger. With the presence of a chimney the structure most likely contained a wood stove, not so Goldstream. The pole on the left might carry either electric power for lighting or a telegraph line.

By 1961 the Chemainus station is bigger and better including an attached freight shed. The order board signal indicates there are orders waiting for the next train. The rails are shiny...  something not seen here for some time now.

By 2007 the last station building was gone. VIA Rail spares no expense providing shelter for its customers. Three years later it's all moot anyway without service.
