The slate enginehouse now in use was constructed in 1878 along with the small building in front. The smaller structure is now used as a volunteer's mess and tool store but it originally stabled the Upper Corris Tramway's horse. The mainline passes to the right of the engine shed on it's route upgrade to Corris.
